DNA
The
BP Studbook may ask for DNA verification to authenticate a pedigree. If
the Pedigree is correct, the cost is of BPS. All the approved Stallions of the
Studbook must have a DNA profile recorded. The cost is the expense of the
owner. The owner of the horse is also the owner of the DNA. The
Studbook may use some of this DNA data. Any 3rd party inquiries of
the DNA data must have written authorization by the owner of the
DNA.
Foals
born from breeding with a BPS approved Stallion can only be registered with an
original Breeding certificate sent by the owner of the approved
stallion. These breeding certificates must be in the year that the
mare was bred.
With every horse that is registered in our studbook, their hair samples must be
pulled. We will keep the hair sealed.
